On the 29th of November a Press Conference was successfully held at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia. The Cyprus Minister of Commerce, His Excellency Mr. Antonis Paschalides, was present and gave a speech endorsing the event fully. The Press conference was covered extensively by the local media and all Cyprus TV channels were present. 

During the event, Mr. Dinos Michaelides, President of FIABCI Cyprus Chapter, gave a thorough account on what FIABCI is and what the World Congress means for both the association and the host country. All participants were greatly impressed and promised to cover fully all FIABCI activities relating to the World Congress. Mr Lakis Tofarides, member of the Congress Organising Committee represented the LBDA as one of the two principal members of FIABCI Cyprus Chapter.
